Blake International’s Houma Yard Support Crew recently achieved a significant safety milestone by completing 10 consecutive years without a recordable injury and over 12 years without a lost time injury case. For over a decade, the Yard Support Crew has worked over 800,000 man-hours without a recordable injury and 1.4 million man-hours without a disabling lost time event.
According to Beau Blake, President and CEO, “Safety is a core value at Blake International. It’s the result of the strong HSE program created by emphasizing the importance of training, education, communication, and personal accountability, and the commitment and dedication of our employees to working safely. Safety is an integral part of the Blake International culture, and it is prevalent throughout the organization – from each and every crew in the field, to the managers throughout the organization. It’s the shared responsibility of both the company management and employees to provide and maintain a safe work environment while continually looking for opportunities for improvement.”
